Перспективы
За прошедшие годы в психологии значительно возрос интерес к биохимическому исследованию. Особенно это относится к США, где мы наблюдаем активное вовлечение психологии в неврологические науки. Обе дисциплины в конечном итоге имеют один и тот же предмет исследования и могут принести друг другу немалую пользу, а потому кажется вполне вероятным все большее «породнение», а возможно и слияние, обеих дисциплин. Стремительное развитие измерительных методов будет способствовать этой тенденции. Новые, неинвазивные молекулярно-биологические методы анализа, неинвазивные томографические методы и возможности неинвазивного измерения гормонов в моче и слюне все больше облегчают и упрощают междисциплинарное исследование. До сих пор исследователи традиционно пытались подтвердить нейробиологическими результатами психологические концепции психических расстройств; теперь же развивается новое направление. В частности, особенный вклад нейробиологии заключается в том, чтобы распознать собственно биологические закономерности, после чего выяснить их значимость для поведения. Приведенные выше сведения о CRF и окситоцине отчетливо показывают, что для координации особо сложных способов поведения центральная нервная система пользуется определенными биохимическими веществами. Психология больше не может и не должна пренебрегать этими знаниями. Кроме того, в настоящее время мы знаем, что организм активирует многочисленные протективные и регенеративные вещества, которые способствуют значимым защитным рекреативным функциям только тогда, когда в этом есть необходимость. Вполне вероятно, что в обозримом будущем мы научимся, с одной стороны, измерять индивидуальную мобилизованность этих веществ и включать ее в клиническую диагностику, а с другой — сможем проверить, каким образом активизировать эти вещества психологическими способами, чтобы повысить эффективность психотерапевтических методов.
