XIIІ All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference of Students and Postgraduates

„Sociology in (Post)Modernity”,

which will take place

from 16^th to 18^th of April 2015 at the faculty of sociology

of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Kharkiv, Svobody Square, 6).

Organizators invite students and postgraduates to attend the conference in the following areas:

· The sociological imagination and sociological knowledge in the modern world.

· Dilemmas of the sociology of culture.

· Social communication in postmodernity.

· Problems of risk, security and social order in a changing world.

· Economic and management practices in sociological terms.

· The political space: the no-ruled game?

· Personality in the system of social groups and institutions.

· Transformation processes on the postsoviet space.

· Ethnical and national in the XXI century society.

· Gender issues in sociology.

· Education in the Society of Knowledge: problems sociological reflection.

· Deviation of the world and the world of deviations.

· Young people in today's world: values, life plans, self-realization.

· Conflicts of our time: evolutional trends.

· Theoretical and methodological problems of teaching and social work.

· Sociological support of social policy and social work.

· Environmental direction in sociological discourse.

· Routine in sociological research.

· Public Sociology: Myth or Reality?

· Antroposociogenesis – the "white spot" of sociology.

· Sociological knowledge in PR and advertising

During the conference there are roundtables also scheduled. We offer all participants to make proposals on urgent problems that could be taken for the discussion at the roundtable.

Working languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English.

Applications for participation in the conference are to be submitted in the language of abstract and report. Members are welcome to speak in both English and in Russian / Ukrainian sections. The report duration should be close to 10 minutes. Submitted papers will be published in the book of abstracts. Travelling, accommodation and food is covered by participants` cost.

Application for participating and the abstract of the report should be send to Orgcommitee e-mail by the 10^th of March 2015.

The registration fee per participant equals 60 grivnas and should be paid at the registration.

Participant is provided with the published in accordance with the conference results book of abstracts if the fee is paid.
