The Numbers
· The project includes at least 50 performances, 30 of which will take place in the Netherlands, and 20 in Russia.
· Ricciotti expects to reach between 8,000 and 12,000 people, including around 5,000 in Russia. We are assuming an average of 220 visitors per concert.
· Those participating in the tour are:
40 orchestra members (including at least two Russian music students); one (Russian-Dutch) soloist; one conductor; one business manager; and one tour manager.
In Russia, one or more Russian contact persons will travel with us.
Press
Ricciotti will use its media contacts to promote the project in the Netherlands, both on a regional and national level. Since our fruitful cooperation during Ricciotti's great opera project in 2010, PR adviser Tia Schutrups has been fundamentally connected to Ricciotti. Based on our experiences in the summers of 2010-2012, when Ricciotti managed to generate huge audiences wherever it played, we expect a widespread and enthusiastic interest in the orchestra this summer.
Publicity in Russia will, amongst others, be facilitated via the NLRF2013 platform. We also hope for help from the Dutch Embassy and SICA.
We will focus primarily on the local media. Through guerrilla actions and stunts, Riciotti will draw the attention of the public and the media. In addition, Ricciotti actively seeks out audiences and distrbutes flyers during performances.
In addition, Ricciotti comprises forty young musicians with a robust and active social network. By concentrating directly on this, every musician can contribute to the promotion of the tour. They will keep their acquaintances up to date on the activities about which they are so very passionate. In this way, the musicians ensure a quick and effective dissemination of our message.
