Radiological features of Fallots tetrad
Heart:
- heart of an aortal configuration
- cardiac apex is usually rounded and is often elevated (owing to hypertrophy of a right ventricle) – “boot -shaped heart”
- ascending aorta is dilated and displaced to the right
- fluoroscopy: a deep pulsation of ascending aorta and a right ventricle
Lungs:
- pauperization of a pulmonary vassels – lungs oligemic,
- increased translucency of lungs,
- decrease shadow of lungs hilar.

Angiocardiography: contrast simultaneously fills a pulmonary trunk and an aorta.
US: the four basic features of classic TOF is defined.
Doplerosonography and МRI-angiography: direction and rate of movement blood into the heart chambers and into the large vessels is defined.
