Label the parts of the hull.

The ship's hull is the main part of a ship.

There are three parts in the hull: the fore end, amidships, and the after end.

The top surface of the hull is called the main deck.

The two sides are called the port side (left side) and the starboard side (right side).

Each of the sides is further divided into the bow part, the amidships part and the quarter.

The lower surface of the hull is called the bottom.

The extreme forward point is called the bow and the extreme back part the stern.
