My Working Day

My name is Nazar, I am a medical student. I have been a student only for a short period of time. My typical day goes something like this. I usually start my day with getting up and doing all things that everybody does in the morning. Honestly speaking, I like to get up early, so I don’t need an alarm clock to wake me up. The water feels very cold in winter mornings, but I rub myself hard with the towel and soon I feel quite warm. Then I shave, brush my teeth, wash my face, and dress. Also, I got used to gather my learning tools and white gown in the morning.

For breakfast I have a sandwich, boiled egg, and a cup of coffee. At about 7.30 a.m. I am quite ready to go. It takes me about 20 minutes to get to the university. Fortunately, my father has a car and he often drives me to the doors of our university building. I come to the university five minutes before the bell rings. So I can have a chat with my friends. At 8 o’clock my classes begin.

Usually we have two lectures and a seminar or a tutorial. As a rule, we have a lunch break after the second class. We don’t have to go out to lunch. There is a good canteen at our university. It is on the ground floor. But sometimes we like to go to the café and have a snack there.

After the classes I usually return home where I have dinner and start thinking about my ways of spending the rest of the day. After a short rest I prepare my assignments, assays, synopses. Sometimes I have to work at the library or at the reading-hall. It takes me about three-four hours to prepare for my classes.

In the evening I sometimes go out. I visit gym, swimming pool or go to the cinema or dancing. When I stay in, I watch TV or listen to the music when I’m free.

In the evening I have a light, not substantial supper. I prefer a cup of milk or tea and a biscuit or a roll. At about eleven o’clock I feel sleepy, take a shower, put on my pyjamas, and go to bed.
