7. Special training methods include different games, tests and trainings.

8. Practical trainings are carried out on training grounds to simulate various accidents and disasters.

9. Every fireman must get used to high temperature, smoke, noise and other typical for real combat conditions.

10.Psychological preparedness and his professional skills allows him to carry out combat missions skillfully and quickly.

TEXT

In spite of scientific and industrial progress, danger of mankind to disasters, including natural disasters, is growing. The number of disasters victims is increasing about by 6 per cent every year.

It results from the quick growth of population, the high concentration of the population in cities, environment degradation encouraging intensification of dangerous natural processes and technological backwardness of many countries.

The profession of a fire-fighter is very honorable. He is much wanted everywhere. A man who made up his mind to become a fire-fighter first must pass a medical examination. He must be extremely healthy, physically fit, so to be at his best at an emergency. After that he undergoes through a very complex training course and developing programmes before he can begin his service.

The process of becoming a fire-fighter is not an easy one, but it is well worth it. Fire fighters are public spirited people and serve their country in a selfless way.
