Managing a Sress by a Rescuer

1. Some years ago there was no such profession “a rescuer”.

2. EMERCOM – an emergency management state committee – was formed.

3. Later it was reorganized into a ministry.

4. A well-balanced system of raining of rescuers was developed.

5. The training programme consists of 504 training periods, each of 45 minutes and covers 14 theoretical And 27 practical subjects.

6. Psychological training is one of the main disciplines.

7. The work of a rescuer is hard and dangerous.

8. Rescuers are subjected to stress loads daily.

9. Stress is a protective reaction of organism of a man.

10. To do their work well rescuers must be trained to manage their responses to stress effectively.

11. Different games, tests and trainings teach them how to behave I dangerous situations and how to cope with the situation successfully.
