Two fire engines and around 15 firefighters attended a fire in a two floor house on Farndale Avenue, Palmers Green, N 13 yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 13 December). The first floor of the house was heavily damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries. Firefighters from Edmonton, Tottenham and Southgate fire stations were on the scene. The Brigade was called at 1549 and the fire was under control by 1638. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Don’t use the elevator! Reach for my hand! Get on the ground! Roll over! Run! Evacuate the building! Leave now!

3. Conducting a search for people trapped inside a building;

4. Organizing an evacuation under the threat of an explosion.

Be careful of the smoke! Crawl under the smoke! Give me your hand! Don’t breathe a lot! Don’t touch the door! Cover your mouth and nose with a wet handkerchief! Cover yourselves with a blanket! I’ve got to hear you. We’re out of danger! There is a danger of (a bomb explosion/a blast; an explosive gas; a poisonous gas); How many people are inside? What room are they in? Is everybody inside? Go to the fire exit.
