— to free a stomatopharynx and trachea from foreign bodies (mucus, pieces of mud, blood clots, foreign objects) with a finger, with the help of handkerchief or any cloth (Fig. 14). If a foreign body is present in the trachea at this stage of resuscitation, try to "knock out" a foreign body from the trachea by tapping in the interscapular region in the victim's position lying on the side and by means of manual compression of the chest and the upper half of abdomen (Fig. 15 a, b), an attempt of digital or instrumental removal of foreign body is also possible, but not by pushing it deeper. If these measures are ineffective, it is necessary to restore a patency of the upper respiratory tracts by conicotomy using improvised means (pointed knife, any rubber or plastic tube).
