Disinfection in virus hepatitis

Patient's discharges (urine, feces, vomit et al.) are covered with dry lime chloride, lime paste, heat resistant 200 g/kg, neutral or technical Ca hypochlorate — for 90 min.

Vessels from under the patients discharges (bedpans for male patients, rubber bedpans, jars) are immersed into 3% chloramine solution for 60 min., and after decontamination they are flushed out.

Table dishes with food remains — are boiled, freed from food remains and immersed into 2 1 (per a set) of edible soda, chloramine, 3% lime chloride — for 60 min. After decontamination they are flushed out with water.

Patient's clothes, articles of care are placed in 3% disinfectant solution for 120 min.

Bedclothes, outer clothing — in disinfection chamber.

Tables are wiped with a cleaning cloth moistened with 1% chloramine.

Surfaces of laboratory tables are wiped twice, at the end of the working day, in 15 min with a cleaning cloth moistened in 3% chloramine, lime chloride, 6% hydrogen peroxide.

Laboratory vessels (pipettes, test tubes, glasses) are completely immersed into 3% chloramine solution, lime chloride, 6% hydrogen peroxide. After decontamination they are flushed in running water.

Blood wastes are covered and stirred in dry chlorinated lime in the ratio of 1:5.

Rubber gloves are immersed into 3% chloramine or 6% hydrogen peroxide for 60 min.

Personnel's hands are wiped with cotton tampon moistened in 1% chloramine for 2 min., 70° alcohol — for 2 min., then washed with soap.
