In a specialized ambulance and under clinical conditions a closed-chest cardiac massage can be carried on by means of a cardiopump (Fig. 22), by its design and the principle of action it resembles aTorce cup, or with the help of cardiovent (Fig. 23) allowing one man to carry out simultaneously a highly effective APV through endotracheal tube and a closed-chest cardiac massage, as well as with the aid of mechanical "thoracic masseurs" in the form of a piston, cuirass or a vest.
