Prostate is smaller glandular part, muscular organ. As gland it secretes important component of semen, stimulating spermatozoa. As muscle it is sphincter of urethra that prevents flow of urine. It consists of: base; apex; two surfaces: facies anterior and facies posterior. Prostate is surrounded by fascial layers. Inner to fascial coat is the prostatic capsule. Tissue of prostate is composed of glands – glandular substance of prostate; and present also prostatic ducts.

Seminal vesicles – situated lateral of both ductus deferentes between base of bladder and rectum. Each vesicle is about 5 sm. Lower end of vesicle is continuous with narrow ductus excretorius, which unites ductus deferens to form common ductus ejaculatorius. Wall of seminal vesicle is formed by coats: tunica adventitia, tunica muscularis and tunica mucosa.

Bulbourethral glands – are pair of bodies, lodged in thickness of urogenital diaphragm. Duct opens into spongy part of urethra in region of bulbus. B ulbourethral glands produce a viscoussecretion, protecting urethral walls from irritation by urine.

External genital organs in male – penis and scrotum. Penis – is most part composed of cavernous tissue. Cavernous tissue forms 3 bodies: paired corpus cavernosum penis and unpaired corpus spongiosum penis.

Corpus cavernosum penis – two bodies covered by common tunica albuginea corposum cavernosum, forming septum of penis. Corpus spongiosum penis is covered by tunica albuginea corporis spongiosi. Corpus spongiosum penis expands and form glans penis and bulb penis. There are distinguished: radix penis; corpus penis; dorsum penis. Glans penis bears opening – external orifice of male urethra.
